ENTRY: DAY ONE

Today is the first of July, the day I have been counting down on my calendar and talking about on my blog. I'd love to say that day was a HUGE success and that I've knitted HEAPS but alas, I have not, I woke up late (I'd love to say it was a sleep in, but after a sleep in you feel refreshed and revitalised. I did not.)

Today while yes I woke up late, I woke up feeling like I haven't slept at all. I had my first cup of coffee at 10 (which is probably why I only feel like it's 3 pm because I haven't had my coffee to real time evened out...)
I didn't get knitting until roughly 3 pm, as I had chores (mainly laundry & dishes & grocery shopping). I had a fair bit of delicate socialisation to do today as well, which meant no bringing the knitting. I also had work until 9 pm, so you're lucky you are even getting this blog entry. I've finished
knitting that baby boy Prem medium sized hat for Little H, started on a children's cowl because I was right my friend decided she wanted to swap the gloves, but instead of wanting the matching scarf she wants a matching cowl. So I am getting on with that (then it's just the baby booties). I've started a checklist of knitting projects on my phone, when will I find the time to finish it all???? I have another knitting that needs to be completed too. I keep getting the same advice of "Start a project & finish it before starting another one," kind of like that annoying rule my mum used to have when I was growing up. "When you finish with a toy put it away before getting another one out." That was such a dumb rule, yes my room was always a mess, yes I spent hours putting toys away, yes that all was avoidable if I followed the rules. But, that's what a WIP bin is for. *Big mischievous grin* My wonderful WIP bin cost $4, now my shelf looks semi sort of organised (Let's not get to carried away)

By Church time tomorrow, I wanted to be able to have another Med-Prem set sorted for Little H, hmm... I might just caffeinate some more and stay up late... or I can knit at church tomorrow. Since it's the big celebration service and we won't be leaving until probably one-ish, that'll be two hours of knitting I may be able to utilise discreetly (don't get me wrong, I won't knit while listening to whichever minister is speaking tomorrow that would be rude.)
I will upload photos tomorrow I think :)

I started a mitten too, so yay should only have 1 mitten and a pair of booties tomorrow.

An interesting read

If you are like me, and kind of Crazy-Obsessed with knitting but you are a beginner so you are still learning things, then I encourage you to click on this link and read about the different 12 yarn ball types. I was sent this through an e-mail newsletter from Becky at #KnitOm and loved it so much that I had to share it. It's a wonderful article on the different types of knitting yarn. Differences between a cake, a bullet & a hank. I didn't even KNOW what a hank was until I read it and I was like "ooooh click" (it even explained a skein, which was a term I wasn't used to until I joined a few online knitting groups what as most of the balls of yarn I own are in bullet, donut or a cake.)
